One of the new types of glass jewelry is screw-on glass jewelry. In this case, a special screw was melted into the glass, which remains inside the glass and is screwed onto threaded jewelry bases, rings, pendants, earrings, and bracelets. One of the biggest advantages of this is that there is no need to glue the glass and we can replace the glass on the jewelry. Special tools are needed to make this kind of glass jewelry. The special mandrel in the picture has a threaded end, a disc has thread in the middle and a screw nuts with a hex end.
Screw the disc on the top of the mandrel and cover it the a bead releaser.
Add the screw nuts on the disc.
Melt the glass on the screw and the disc.
If your glass cabochon is ready, clean it from the bead releaser and you can already use it on a jewelry.
